AIIMS MBBS Counselling and Admission Process 2026:-

The counselling for AIIMS MBBS is conducted under the All India Quota (AIQ) by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Here’s a step-by-step explanation of the process:

1. NEET UG Qualification

    •    AIIMS admissions are purely based on NEET UG Rank/Score 2026.
    •    Only candidates who qualify NEET UG and meet the required cutoff creteria are eligible for counselling.
    •    AIIMS is one of the most sought-after institutions, so a high NEET score usually 680+ for top AIIMS college like AIIMS Delhi is necessary.

2. MCC Counselling Registration

AIIMS seats are allocated through MCC counselling 2026.

Steps to Register:

    1.    Visit the MCC website: www.mcc.nic.in.
    2.    Create an account: Use your NEET Roll Number and application number to register.
    3.    Pay counselling fees:
    •    Non-Refundable Registration Fee:
    •    1,000 (General/OBC/EWS)
    •    500 (SC/ST/PwD)

•    Refundable Security Deposit:
    •    10,000 (General/OBC/EWS)
    •    5,000 (SC/ST/PwD).
    4.    Upload Documents: Upload required documents like NEET scorecard, ID proof, etc.

3. AIIMS Seat Matrix

    •    AIIMS MBBS has 2,207 seats across 20 campuses.
    •    Popular AIIMS campuses:

    •    Reservation Policy:
    •    27% seats for OBC

4. Choice Filling and Locking

5. Seat Allotment Process

MCC conducts seat allotment in multiple rounds:

    3.    Mop-Up Round: For vacant seats after Round 2.

    •    Accept (Freeze): Confirm the seat and proceed for admission.
    •    Upgrade (Float): Retain the current seat while waiting for a better option in the next round.
    •    Decline: Reject the seat and exit counselling.

6. Reporting to Allotted AIIMS Campus

After seat allotment, candidates must report to the allotted AIIMS campus for:
    1.    Document Verification: Carry original documents for verification (see below).
    2.    Medical Examination: Candidates undergo a fitness test.
    3.    Fee Payment: Pay the admission fee (approx. ₹1,628 annually).

7. Required Documents at the time of Reporting

Candidates must carry the following documents:
    •    Allotment Letter issued by MCC
    •    Admit Cards of Exam issued by NTA
    •    Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA
    •    Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same)
    •    Class 10th Certificate
    •    Class 10+2 Certificate
    •    Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
    •    Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form.
    •    Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)
    •    For OCI/PIO/Foreign national candidates citizenship certificate/card number documents are mandatory
    •    SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)
    •    OBC-NCL Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)
    •    EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)

8. Counselling Rounds Timeline

    •    Round 1 Registration and Choice Filling: Announced after NEET results.
    •    Seat Allotment Result: Declared within a week after choice filling.
    •    Subsequent Rounds: Follow a similar process with adjusted deadlines.

9. Post-Counselling
