Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 security deposit must be paid before choice filling and ranges from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh, depending on the course and seat category selected. The amount is generally refundable or adjustable against tuition fees, subject to counselling rules.
- ₹1,00,000: Government seats for MD/MS, Post MBBS DNB and Post MBBS Diploma.
- ₹2,00,000: Management seats in Government Society Medical Colleges and RUHS CMS; these candidates can also fill eligible Government seat choices.
- ₹5,00,000: MD/MS seats in Private Medical Colleges; these candidates can also fill eligible Government/Government Society/RUHS CMS choices.
The security deposit may be forfeited if a candidate does not join a seat allotted in Round 2 or subsequent rounds, provides incorrect information, or fails to submit required documents. Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 but not joining can generally participate in subsequent rounds without forfeiture.
For the Stray Vacancy Round, document verification and submission of original documents with the required bond are mandatory. Candidates allotted a Stray Vacancy seat who do not join face security forfeiture and a one-year debarment from the State counselling process.
Security amount
Before choice filling stage, candidates participating will have to pay refundable / adjustable security amount as under for M.D. / M.S. / Post MBBS DNB / Post MBBS Diploma course:
Rs. 1,00,000 - for UR/EWS/SC/ST/ST-STA/OBC/MBC candidates opting for MD/MS/Post MBBS DNB/Post MBBS Diploma course on Government Seats in Government Medical Colleges, Govt. Society Medical Colleges, RUHS CMS, Govt. District Hospitals.
Rs. 2,00,000 - for UR/EWS/SC/ST/ST-STA/OBC/MBC candidates opting for MD/MS course on Management Seats in Govt. Society Medical Colleges and RUHS CMS. Candidates depositing Rs. 2,00,000/- will automatically be eligible to fill choices for the Govt. Seats in Government Medical Colleges, Govt. Society Medical Colleges, RUHS CMS.
Rs. 5,00,000 - for candidates opting for the MD/MS course in Private Medical colleges

The Security Deposit will be forfeited if a candidate who has been allotted a seat in the Round 2 or subsequent rounds and does not join the respective institution.
Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled due to any reason e.g in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration (application form filling) on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the Board or fails to produce the required essential documents at the time of joining (within stipulated time).
1. If a candidate joins his/her allotted seat in any round of counselling, his/her security amount will be adjusted in the tuition fee to be deposited for the allotted college.
2. The security amount, if not forfeited or adjusted in fee, will be refunded after completion of counselling process to the concerned bank account from which the security amount was deposited.
3. A candidate allotted a seat in round 1 and who does not join the allotted college will be eligible for subsequent rounds without forfeiture of the security amount.
4. A Round 1 joined candidate who has not been upgraded during round 2 counselling or has not participated in round 2 may resign without forfeiture of security amount within two days of declaration of round 2 result, failing which he will be considered as a joined candidate for round 2 and rules will apply accordingly.
5. A candidate allotted a seat (fresh / upgraded) in round 2 of counselling and does not join the allotted seat, his/her security amount will be forfeited. Such a candidate shall not be eligible to participate in further rounds of counselling.
6. Any candidate who retains his round 1 allotted seat (after two days of declaration of the result of the 2nd round of counselling) and candidates who join their round 2 allotted seat will not be allowed to resign (including returning of original documents) on or before the last date of admissions as scheduled by MCC/NMC.Page 11 of 24
7. A candidate having a joined status on completion of round 2 and willing to participate for upgradation in round 3 will be eligible only on a fresh application and on depositing the security amount again. His/her earlier deposited security amount will be forfeited.
8. A candidate allotted a seat (fresh/upgraded) in round 3 of counselling and does not join the allotted seat, his/her security amount will be forfeited. Such a candidate shall not be eligible to participate in the stray vacancy round.
9. A candidate allotted a seat in stray vacancy round who does not join the allotted seat shall be debarred from participating in the State counselling process for the next one year, along with forfeiture of the security amount.
10. Candidates having joined status after round 3 will not be allowed to participate in the Stray vacancy round.
11. A candidate who joins the course on allotment of round-3 counselling or retains his or her seat (allotted in earlier round) in round-3 or a candidate who joins the course on allotment in stray vacancy round, shall not be allowed to resign the course (including returning of original documents) on or before the last date of admissions as scheduled by MCC/NMC.
Note: No candidate can join two colleges/institutes at the same time. At the time of round 3 of the allotment process, such candidates who have registered for the state counselling and who have joined other college/institute (as on a specified date) through round 3 All India counselling or any other counselling and hence as per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court, shall be ineligible for allotment in State round 3 and stray vacancy round.
Stray Vacancy Round: For participation in stray vacancy round, it is mandatory for eligible candidates to get their documents verified and submit all relevant original documents along with a Bond in the prescribed format, with the Board. A candidate whose documents are not verified or who does not submit his/ her original documents will not be allowed to participate in the stray vacancy round. Documents of such candidates will be kept by the counselling board after verification. Documents of candidates who do not get any allotment will be returned by the dates notified.
