RUHS CUET 2026 Activity Schedule for BSc Nursing

For session 2026-27, admission to B.Sc. Nursing in Rajasthan is conducted through the RUHS Common Undergraduate Entrance Test (RUHS CUET-2026), organised by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur. This is the second time RUHS is conducting a single common entrance exam covering Nursing, Allied Health, and Pharmacy courses together, replacing four separate exams that existed earlier.

RUHS CUET 2026 Application Fee for BSc Nursing

The RUHS CUET 2026 application fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be adjusted against any future exam. Online service charges are extra as per the bank or payment platform used.

Eligibility for BSc Nursing Admission 2026 in Rajasthan

All residents of India can apply for RUHS CUET 2026 for BSc Nursing admission, provided they meet the educational qualification and age criteria below. Preference is given to Rajasthan domicile candidates for state quota seats.

Educational Qualification for BSc Nursing 2026

A candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Science Medical group) conducted by a statutory Board at the end of 12 years study under the 10+2 pattern. The compulsory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

  • Minimum aggregate marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology): 45% for General category candidates
  • For natural born SC and ST candidates: minimum 40% aggregate marks in PCB
  • English is compulsory as a subject in Class 10+2 for all categories
  • As per Indian Nursing Council (INC) guidelines

Candidates with result awaited or supplementary status can apply but must update their result on the RUHS website by the notified date. Age Limit for BSc Nursing Admission 2026

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2026. There is no maximum or upper age limit for BSc Nursing admission, as per INC notification no. F.No.1-6/LT/2023-INC dated 21/08/2023 of the Indian Nursing Council. This is a significant change that allows older candidates and working professionals to apply without age restrictions.

Reservation in RUHS BSc Nursing Admission 2026

Reservation in RUHS BSc Nursing 2026 follows statutory provisions of the Government of Rajasthan. Candidates from reservation categories of states other than Rajasthan are allotted seats in the unreserved category only.

Female Reservation in BSc Nursing 2026

The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of total seats in BSc Nursing admission across all categories. Additionally, not less than 25% out of each category (SC, ST, STA, OBC NCL, MBC NCL, EWS and UR) shall be filled from female candidates as per State Government policy.

Defence Reservation in BSc Nursing 2026

1% seats in Government colleges only are reserved horizontally on priority-cum-merit for natural born sons/daughters of Defence Personnel (Serving/Retired) of Rajasthan origin and Para-Military personnel of Rajasthan origin, in ratio 3:1. 50% of these reserved seats shall be reserved for girls. The defence seat is admissible for only one member of a family, once in a lifetime, as per Kendriya Sainik Kalyan Board.

PwD Reservation in BSc Nursing 2026

5% seats within each category horizontally are reserved for candidates with specified disabilities (PwD) under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and in accordance with Appendix H-1 of Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 1997 as amended on 14.05.2019. PwD candidates must produce a valid disability certificate (minimum 40% benchmark disability) before the Medical Board constituted by RUHS, Jaipur.

Scheduled Tribal Area (STA) Reservation

45% of ST seats are reserved for ST candidates who are bonafide residents of the scheduled area (tribal area) of Rajasthan.

Important: All reservation is applicable only for Round 1 and Round 2 counselling. During Round 3 and Open Round counselling, there is no reservation applicable. All candidates are treated as unreserved in Round 3 and Open Round.

BSc Nursing Seat Matrix Rajasthan 2026-27

Admission for session 2026-27 will be considered in colleges after finalisation of the affiliated college list by RUHS, Jaipur. Based on the B.Sc. Nursing ordinance:

  • 85% of total seats are filled by bonafide candidates of Rajasthan domicile
  • 15% of total seats are filled on All India basis, inclusive of Rajasthan, as per State Government guidelines and/or Hon'ble Court directions
  • The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of total seats in all categories
  • As per Govt order dated 15.02.2023 (Medical and Health Gr. III Department), from session 2023-24, in all nursing colleges, 100% seats shall be filled through RUHS CUET 2026

RUHS CUET 2026 Exam Pattern for BSc Nursing

The RUHS CUET 2026 is an offline MCQ-based examination of 120 minutes duration, conducted in both English and Hindi. The exam is held at Jaipur city only. RUHS reserves the right to create new centres in other cities within the state.

  • Total Questions: 100 objective type (MCQ)
  • Distribution: 33 questions Physics + 33 questions Chemistry + 34 questions Biology/Mathematics (tentative)
  • Marks per correct answer: +1
  • Marks for incorrect/unattempted: 0 (no negative marking)
  • Candidates can take the question paper and OMR carbon copy after the test
  • Admit card available for download on RUHS website only; not sent by individual post
  • If discrepancy found in any question, English version is considered correct
  • All candidates must appear at their own expense; no TA/DA paid

The common merit list is prepared strictly on RUHS CUET-2026 score. In case of equal scores, tiebreaking is done in this order: higher aggregate PCB/PCM percentage in Class 12, higher Physics marks in Class 12, higher Chemistry marks in Class 12, higher marks in Class 10, and then older candidate.

RUHS BSc Nursing Counselling Process 2026

After RUHS CUET 2026 result declaration on 2nd June 2026, eligible candidates participate in the online counselling process starting 16th June 2026 onwards. Counselling fee is Rs 550 per course, paid online before filling choices. Candidates applying for more than one course pay Rs 550 separately for each.

  • Allotment list declared on RUHS website; candidates must download and join
  • If candidate does not join in Round 1, they are not eligible for subsequent rounds

Domicile Criteria for BSc Nursing 2026

Admission to BSc Nursing in Rajasthan is open to all residents of India. However, preference is given to residents of the State of Rajasthan. Candidates from other states are considered under the All India quota (15% seats) or treated as unreserved if no domicile preference is applicable.

Medical Fitness Certificate

A candidate seeking admission must deposit a medical fitness certificate at the time of joining the allotted college. The certificate must be on the prescribed form, certified by a medical officer of the Government of Rajasthan as per applicable medical standards.

Note: OBC/MBC certificate must be issued within the last one year of RUHS CUET 2026 exam date and clearly indicate 'Non Creamy Layer'. EWS certificate must be valid for financial year 2026-27. Print and preserve 2 copies of the application form.

Fee Refund and Admission Cancellation Rules

Candidates wishing to cancel admission must submit a duly signed application to the allotted institution before the start of the last round of counselling. Upon cancellation, the institute shall refund the fee after deducting Rs 1,000 towards processing charges and return all original documents within two days. Candidates cancelling after the RUHS cut-off date are not entitled to any fee refund except the security deposit/caution money. No institution can withhold original documents to compel fee payment.
