Admission to MD/MS, Post MBBS DNB, and Post MBBS Diploma seats in Rajasthan's Government, RajMES, RUHS CMS, and Private medical colleges is conducted centrally by the NEET PG Admission/Counselling Board, headquartered at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. All state quota seats, including management and NRI category seats in private colleges, are filled purely through online centralized counselling across four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy.

Under Rajasthan's state eligibility criteria, 50% of seats in Government colleges and 50% of seats in Private colleges are reserved for candidates holding an MBBS degree from a Rajasthan institution, or serving as medical officers under the Government of Rajasthan. Within Government college seats, 25% carry preference for candidates with an MBBS degree from the University of Rajasthan or RUHS. This state eligibility condition applies only up to Round 3; any seat vacant after Round 3 is thrown open in the Stray Vacancy round without the domicile restriction.

Reservation follows the Rajasthan roster for SC, ST, STA, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL, and EWS categories, with a minimum 25% female candidates within each category and a 5% horizontal PwD reservation as per NMC Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations.

Nine private medical colleges and universities offer MD/MS seats in Rajasthan, with fees standardised by stage of the course — Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical — as approved under the Fee Regulatory Committee framework. Unlike government colleges, private college seats are split between Government-quota and Management-quota, each with a separate approved fee slab.

Colleges covered under this fee slab include NIMS Medical College Jaipur, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital Jaipur, Pacific Medical College Udaipur, Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences Udaipur, Jaipur National University's institute for medical sciences, Geetanjali Medical College Udaipur, Dr SS Tantia Medical College Sri Ganganagar, American International Institute of Medical Sciences Udaipur, and Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences Rajsamand. Private college security deposit is fixed at ₹5,00,000, and admission requires a first-year fee deposit before joining, with no advance fee, post-dated cheque, or bank guarantee permitted for the remaining course years.
