Uttarakhand offers quality medical education through a limited but well-established network of Government Medical Colleges. Admission to all MBBS seats in the state is strictly based on NEET UG 2026 merit.
Currently, Uttarakhand has 6 Government Medical Colleges, including one Central Institute – AIIMS Rishikesh. These colleges provide modern infrastructure, experienced faculty and excellent clinical exposure for MBBS students.
A total of 750 MBBS seats are available in Government Medical Colleges of Uttarakhand. Out of these, 15% seats are filled through MCC All India Quota counselling, while the remaining 85% seats are allotted through Uttarakhand NEET UG State Counselling.
