Telangana has rapidly expanded its medical education infrastructure and is now home to several reputed government medical colleges. All admissions to MBBS courses in Telangana are conducted strictly through NEET UG 2026.
The state currently has 10 Government Medical Colleges, including prestigious institutions like Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad and Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad. These colleges are known for strong academics, experienced faculty, and extensive clinical exposure.
A total of 1,550 MBBS seats are available in government medical colleges of Telangana. Out of these, 15% seats are allotted through MCC All India Quota counselling and 85% seats are filled through Telangana State NEET UG counselling.
