Meghalaya offers MBBS education through its government medical college, with admissions strictly based on NEET UG 2026. The state currently has one government medical college providing undergraduate medical education.
The only medical college in the state is the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, which was established in 2008. As of 2026, 50 MBBS seats are available in Meghalaya under government quota.
