MBBS Colleges in West Bengal 2026
West Bengal is one of the leading states in India for medical education, with a strong network of well-established Government Medical Colleges. Admission to all MBBS seats in the state is strictly based on NEET UG 2026 merit.
Currently, West Bengal has 25 Government Medical Colleges, which include 24 State Government colleges and 1 ESIC Medical College. These institutions offer modern infrastructure, experienced faculty and extensive clinical exposure to MBBS students.
A total of 4,050 MBBS seats are available in Government Medical Colleges of West Bengal. Out of these, 15% seats are filled through MCC All India Quota counselling, while the remaining 85% seats are allotted through West Bengal NEET UG State Counselling.
