In Government Medical Colleges, the annual tuition fee is Rs.15,000 for General Category, Rs.12,00,000 for Self-Financing (Category-B), and Rs.20,00,000 for NRI (Category-C) under the Competent Authority quota, as notified by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

In Private Medical Colleges, MBBS fees are fixed by the state government. For Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Medical / Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, the tuition fee for the academic year 2026–27 shall be as per the orders of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and will be subject to the outcome of W.P. Nos. 32975, 33162 & 35090 of 2022.

The tuition fee detailed below is applicable for the academic year 2024–25 as notified vide G.O.Ms.No.503, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated 06-08-2024, in respect of Category-B (Management) and Category-C (NRI) seats in Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Medical / Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The fee is applicable for the entire 4½ years MBBS / BDS course and shall be paid by the selected candidates at the respective colleges at the time of admission.

Important Notes on GITAM MBBS Scholarships 2025–26

  • An additional 20% scholarship is applicable specifically towards hostel fees, covering both food and accommodation expenses.
  • Merit-based scholarships will continue in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th year of MBBS, provided the student secures 65% or above aggregate marks in each academic year.
  • Apart from the above merit scholarship slabs, the top 5% of students (subject to a maximum of seven students) who are not admitted under this scholarship scheme will also receive a 10% scholarship from the 2nd year onwards, subject to maintaining 65% aggregate marks every year.
